How do I enable multi-language support for the Cookie Consent banner?

The Cookie Consent app supports multi-language translations so your banner can display in your visitors' preferred language.

How It Works​

  • The banner automatically detects the visitor's browser language and displays the consent message in the matching language (if configured).
  • You can manually add translations for any language you want to support.
  • If no translation is available for a visitor's language, the banner falls back to your default language.

Setting Up Translations​

  1. Log in to your AppifyCommerce dashboard.
  2. Go to Cookie Consent → Language & Translation settings.
  3. Select the default language for your banner.
  4. Click Add Language to add a new translation.
  5. Translate the following fields:
    • Consent message text
    • Accept button label
    • Reject button label
    • Manage preferences button label
    • Cookie category names and descriptions
  6. Click Save to apply translations.

Supported Languages​

You can add translations for any language. Common languages include:

  • English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, and more.

If your website serves visitors from multiple countries, adding translations for your top visitor languages significantly improves user experience and compliance rates.
